Srinagar
is the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, which is situated
at an altitude of 1730 metres above sea level. Dal, Nagin
and Anchar are the three main lakes in Srinagar. A unique
charm of Srinagar is its 1300 or more houseboats, the floating
little hotels on the edge of the Dal Lake or in the secluded
areas of the Nagin Lake. Many tourists are attracted to Srinagar
by the charm of staying on a houseboat, which provides the
unique experience of living on the water, with all the facilities

Day 1: Srinagar
In the morning arrive at Srinagar airport or railway station.
Some visitors have described Srinagar as the Venice of the
East. Upon arrival you will be met by representative and transferred
to a house boat on Dal Lake. In the afternoon we have Shikara
ride on Dal Lake and also visit the floating gardens.
Day 2: Srinagar
Visit the famous Mughal gardens in Srinagar. Also see Nishat
and Shalimar Mughal Gardens. Nishat is the larger of the two
gardens and has an impressive plantation of Chenar trees on
its highest terrace. Both the gardens are built on a symmetrical
plan of central waterways with fountains dividing a series
of gardened terraces.
Day 3: Srinagar – Gulmarg - Srinagar (about
120 km)
After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, the meadow of flowers.
The route from Srinagar to Gulmarg is fascinating .In Gulmarg
while walking along the circular path you only have to look
down to have a complete view of the valley and Srinagar. Rest
of the day is at leisure. evening, drive back to Srinagar.
Day 4: Srinagar – Pahalgam - Srinagar (about
194 km)
After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam. On the way we pass through
pine forests and also visit the saffron fields. Pahalgam is
a popular hill resort of the Kashmir valley. Pahalgam is situated
at a height of 7,200 feet. The flora and fauna is good and
the scenery in Pahalgam is captivating. After visiting Pahalgam
we drive back to Srinagar.
Day 5: Srinagar
Day at leisure for shopping
Day 6: Srinagar
Transfer to airport or railway station for onwards journey
in morning.

Day 5: Pahalgam - Gulmarg
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg, the meadow of flowers. The
route from Pahalgam to Gulmarg is fascinating. After having
lunch at Gulmarg, enjoy the pony ride from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg.
Khilanmarg is the spot for skiing in winters. In Gulmarg one
can also have a walk through the green meadows with the snow-covered
mountains all around. (If this trip is during winters then
you can also enjoy the Skiing and other adventure sports here)
Day 6: Gulmarg - Srinagar (about 60 km)
After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar. Transfer to airport
or railway station for the onwards journey.
