You
must be in possession of a valid passport. Our associates
will obtain your visa for Tibet (prices mentioned), and we
will require the following information when making your reservation:
full name, date of expiry of passport, place of issue of passport,
nationality, date of birth, sex and occupation. Two passport
size photographs are also required.
The
visa will be fiscally stamped in your passport while in Nepal.
A
surcharge of US$ 50.00 on Tibet visas is applicable for British,
Canadian, Belgian, Cameroon, Brazilian, Irish, French and
Dutch nationals.
Permits:
It is also possible to arrange a permit with an agency in
Lhasa and have it sent to you before you enter the TAR. If
you are traveling in a group, it is advisable to carry a photocopy
of your group permit in case you become separated from your
group. It is quite easy for you to get a Tibet travel permit

All
details should be exactly the same as on your passport. And
you need to tell us your occupation because journalists and
people that could be involved in political matters could be
revoked (they need more complicated procedure to get a permit).
You need to apply for the travel permit at least 10 days prior
to your entry date. Only the guide could hold the permit after
you establish yourself on Tibet land. You are not allowed
to bring with it and travel to anywhere you want because except
Lhasa you need another permit named as "Aliens’ Permit".
Otherwise if you are stopped by the police you will be sent
out of Tibet or have trouble politically and economically.
Furthermore, the travel agency which helped to get you the
permit will also be in trouble.
ACCESSORIES
We
recommend you to bring the following items to make your journey
more comfortable : Personal first aid kid, water purification
tablets, toilet kit with toilet paper, flashlight with extra
batteries, sunglasses, water bottle, note book, pens, pencils,
camera and film and extra batteries for electronic Cameras,
binoculars, Duffel bag, rain gear, strong footwear, pocket
knife, sewing kits, compass, altimeter, drinking cup, towel,
plastic bags, dust mask, strong sun cream, chaps tic, and
money belt.

sweaters ,woolen shirts ,gloves, light leather boots in case
of snows ,warm hat & scarves.

to October - raincoat or wind breakers, jackets, sweaters,

However, they cannot take any responsibility regarding any
change & alternations in the itinerary due to the various
reasons like unavoidable circumstances such as land-slides,
road blockage, flood, snow political unrest, cancellation
of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accidents because all
the tours / treks are conducted strictly under the rules and
regulation of Tibet Tourism Bureau.
Any
extra cost incurring there of shall be borne by the clients
on the spots.

the clients must provided for their own insurance that adequately
covers against medical and person accident risk
FOOD
& DRINKS
Breakfast
is included in the cost of the tour package (as mentioned
in tour itineraries). All the hotels/ guesthouse you will
be staying in has restaurant, and serve dinner.
The
lunch stops are made at small towns with very basic meals.
Realizing that the lunch stops can be a bit unappetizing;
brining your own snacks is a good idea. Bring foods you like
and can eat easily [crackers, cheese, cookers, chocolate bars,
granola bare, soup mix etc]. Mineral water is available throughout
the trip at various stops. You may consider carrying water
bottle and purifications tablets. [Iodine solution, tablets].
INSURANCE
It
is imperative that you insure yourself against sickness, emergency
rescue, accident, Hospitalization, cancellations etc.Our associates take due care but we cannot accept any
responsibility or expenses which may arise from mishaps to
persons or their belongings during these tours.
ALTITUDE
SICKNESS
The
Tibetan Plateau lies over 12000 feet, most people will experience
some of the minor symptoms and discomfort of altitude sickness,
until their body adjust to the elevation. This can take from
a few hours to couple of days, depending on the individual.
